Teams from Northern
Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Scotland and Northern England
participated in the event in Ballymena and it was an
outstanding success.
Teams included players
in under-18 and under-21 age groups and they included both
boys and girls. The Irish players, who had gone
`over-age` for under-18 events, had their first opportunity
to compete against players in the under-21 age group and
they enjoyed the experience immensely!
The best thing to happen
in youths` Darts in recent times has been the Youth
Friendship Trophy inaugurated by Geoff Wylie in the North in
2003.
