The ´extended´ family - the News of the World stage crew that travelled across to Ireland every year for the Divisional Finals - realised that it was the end of a ´Golden Era´.

The brothers, Les and Harold Treble, Bill Williams, Denis Larkin, Dave Whooley and John Morris ´blended´ into the family every March when they came over to the Emerald Isle.
They always enjoyed the post-match ´sing-song´ which was ably led by Louis himself.
Louis knew the words of all the songs. It was once said that he was the only Dub who could sing the Cork Anthem,
´On the banks of my own lovely Lee´ , from start to finish.
