Doubles winners, Peter Waters and Dominic

Fenlon, with Declan Hart in the centre.

Hart’s Bar in Campile was the venue for the annual Easter Monday Darts Tournament and as usual it was very well supported by the local players.

Declan Hart efficiently organised Singles and Doubles competitions on the day and the players produced a very high standard of marksmanship.

22 pairs competed in the Doubles competition and the top prize went to Peter Waters and Dominic Fenlon who defeated Mick Clampett and Andrew Sinnott 5-1 in the final.

The beaten semi-finalists were Paul Byrne/Gemma Kearon and Jim Roche/ John Murphy.

There’s no stopping young Jason Cullen in Singles competitions and once again it was his father, John, who was on the receiving end in the final.

42 players competed in the Singles competition and John won his place in the final with a 4-1 win over Andrew Dwyer while Jason accounted for John Murphy with a 4-2 victory in the other semi-final.

The ‘Pupil’ went on to beat the ‘Master’ 5-1 in the final.
