Irish
Teams in PDC World Cup
Best of luck to the two Irish teams that will be
competing in the inaugural PDC World Cup this coming weekend.
The competition will commence on Friday, December 3rd.,
with the Republic of Ireland team of Mick McGowan and Willie O’Connor
taking on Slovakia in the final match of the afternoon session.
The winners of this match take on the top Australian team
of Simon Whitlock and Paul Nicholson in the second Round on Friday
night.
The Northern Ireland team of Brendan Dolan and John
Magowan have been seeded number six and they will play against Austria
or Denmark in the second round also on Friday night.
Weather Hits Ireland Players’ Championship
The
weather hit Round Two of the Ireland Players’ Championship for the
second year in a row.
Safety was the number one priority and as the weather got worse over the
weekend it turned out
to be the right decision to cancel the event.
Because of the cancellation a few minor adjustments have been made to
the fixtures list as follows :-
January 14th. - - O'Shea's Hotel, Tramore, Co. Waterford.
February 26th. - - Silver Springs Moran Hotel, Tivoli, Cork City.
March 13th. - - Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary.
March 27th. - - Abbeyleix Manor Hotel, Abbeyleix, Co. Laois.
May 8th. - - Clonmel Park Hotel, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

All of the players that entered the Nenagh event on Sunday last will be
automatically entered into the Tramore event on January 15th.
If any of these players are unable to attend Tramore please let us know
and we will either refund the entry fee or hold it for a future round.
John Joe Wins Leo Molloy Tournament

The
annual Leo Molloy Memorial Tournament was held in Kilcar, County
Donegal, and the winner was John Joe Dolan who defeated James Deery by
five legs to two in the final.
The
beaten semi-finalists were Dermot McGuire and Irwin Muirhead
The
