CDPA Continues Charity Work

| Presentation of Cheque
to Marymount Hospice |
The Cork Darts Players’ Association completed it’s 2010/11 season with a
charity presentation at the Rock Bar, Gillabbey Street, on Monday, June 20th.
Over the past season the CDPA organised raffles, collections and a table
quiz to raise funds for Marymount Hospice who are building a new state of
the art facility in Cork.
A magnificent sum of € 2,600 was raised for this very worthy and a cheque
for that amount was presented to the Friends of Marymount on the night.
In the first half of the season the
CDPA organised the Cork Charity Cup competition in aid of it’s Senior
Citizens’ Christmas Appeal.
From the proceeds of the competition
fifty food hampers were purchased and were delivered to the needy elderly in
the Cork area over the festive season.
